Neil Peart actually went to a professional teacher and relearned how to play traditional grip. He now uses traditional grip almost exclusively. It actually improved his playing by his own admission.
well i can see it improving playing...most people in the world are right handed, w/ a weak left hand...traditional fixes that, and builds the left hand. sadly im the opposite (STRONG left hand, really pathetic right) so theres not much i can do other then little exercises dealin w/ muscle building lol
but thats really interesting...a tradional sticking set player..thats awesome, honestly xD
Here might be one of the best traditional grip set drummers of all time. Don't stop believing that this was the drummer from Journey!

I have played for a long time and I have seen tons of talented drummers, but from 2:00 to the end may be some of the greatest drumming I have ever seen!

A little bit to dramatic for a random thought?

Anyone know what the weather is like in Florida? I'm going there this weekend, but the weather on weatherchannel.com has been VERY inaccurate for my area weather, so was just wondering what it really was like.
0 degrees!!!
I mean, not cold, not hot.
That's what "0 degrees" should mean).

I was the same way. I always led with my left hand. When I got my first kit, I set it up for a righty and shortly after switched everything around and played lefty and it felt so much smoother for me that way. I was kinda wacky that way cause I write right handed and would bat righty but was stronger as a lefty with just about everything else. It's been a long time since I played though.

it is kinda annoying to me tho, being a left n all...because like anytime im ever practicing tenor/snare/random stuff (i dont play tenor nor snare, but im going for captain and getting tenors so i practice cadences n stuff) and it always annoys me because when playin a marchin drum, you start playing w/ your RIGHT hand, and start marching with your LEFT foot....but i almost always want to start w/ my LEFT hand xD its so annoying xD everytime i try to play anything fast or whatever, my left hand starts leading..

Eh deleted all my other xbox related stuff except this site and one other cuz the community on here is actually good lol well except for clicking a thread expecting to read about whatever the title is just to read 2-3 pages of people arguing at each other not even relating to the topic :/
What's the one other?

i love how almost all my posts will end up w/ negative ratings. n honestly, i have a feeling of who it could be...but ya know, i can never know for sure. really funny tho, how just ALL of mine tend to have a -1 or less in the corner..
