Jesus that's cheap. Rent in my area, NW Suburbs of Chicago, you can't touch anything for under 1500 a month unless you get a 300 sq. foot studio, and even those are 550 a month. And that only includes rent, not: water, electric, internet/cable, parking fees, pet fees, etc.
I bought a small condo, 700 sq. feet for 50 grand. Now my "rent" (association fee and property tax) is only 350 a month.
I pay about $350 a month too (HOA) home insurance insurance, for my condo, I've never rented or owned in Jersey, but my sister has a condo in Hoboken, like Snapple said. Pretty sure she actually pays more than me (Hoboken, NJ versus adjacent Beverly Hills, CA). I was just saying that there's laws about rent control, in Hollywood downtown, that's why "Hollywood' itself, is a little slummy, although I did fine there for 4 years, had my own little bungalow, for $1000 even, a month
(yep, 'lil bungalow from '04 to '08, a few blocks from Mann Chinese Theatre / Hollywood walk of game, etc. Good times.
