Really? I mean I never watched the show myself growing up but I still knew who winnie the pooh was. And as an adult most kid shows are dumb when you go to rewatch them umpteen years later but no need to hate on it like that

Really? I mean I never watched the show myself growing up but I still knew who winnie the pooh was. And as an adult most kid shows are dumb when you go to rewatch them umpteen years later but no need to hate on it like that
If anyone's gay it's Tigger. Gay with joy. I don't see Winnie with that connotation at all. He's a lovable sloth. Like a children's Al Bundy. His fascination sticking his hand into the honeypot, is clearly a vaginal metaphor. He wears a shirt, but makes no effort for pants. Lets it all hang out. Bear is an OG. Now Yogi and Boo Boo? THERE I would agree with her. No straight man is that fond of picnics.

Try the A.A. Milne classic Winne the Pooh stories and not the bright shiny Disney'd up versions. There's a scene in one of the movies (perhaps Piglet's Big Adventure) where they decide to pass Piglet off as Roo in order to investigate Kanga. This was very lighthearted in the movie, but felt far darker in the book. They basically plotted a kidnapping of Roo and sent Piglet in to investigate.
Always felt a little creeped when I read the stories. They just all have a dark feeling to me.
