Well now I'm afraid to watch it because I'm either going to hate it and you guys won't trust my opinion in movies, or I'll like it and have to sheepishly admit it.
Then again my opinion may stay valid considering it only got a 18% on rottentomatoes, and a 33 on metacritic.

Grandma's Boy has Doris Roberts in it. Doris Roberts! She's like everyone's Grandmom. It's more appealing to guys than girls- but it's an Adam Sandler movie... back when Adam Sandler movies were good. I know, it was a really long time ago. It also started Jonah Hill's career (well, the first note-worthy role of his with value). Everyone's entitled to their opinion. It's not the greatest movie ever... but it is the greatest GAMING movie ever. That and The Wizard (Fred Savage), but that's dating myself- and The Wizard was basically a Nintendo commercial, whereas Grandma's Boy had some xbox marketing, and solid snake pinups, but was a decent story beyond that.

Nope. Just nope. Doris Roberts didn't make everybody loves Raymond palatable and she does nothing for grandmas boy.
It was an ok movie that really lost focus at the end and is NOTHING like a (good) Adam Sandler movie. Throwing pot, boobs and video games doesn't elevate a subpar plot with unrealistic, unlikable characters to the greatest GAMING movie. Smdh.
