no.
yes the packers defense is atrocious, niners player to conservative of offense, and Detroit is too young. NFC is going to belong to the Giants.

Doubt it, someone has to stop the Packers offense first and their defense always steps it up in the clutch/playoffs. Don't see the Giants being the ones to do it, their secondary isn't good enough.

How the hell does that warrant quotation marks?! Yes, Paterno did admit that his grad assistant, who's still with the program by the way, told him he witnessed Sandusky in the shower sexually violating a young boy and that he did nothing but pass it up the ladder to the athletic director or some other superior who failed to act. My question is why didn't this grad assistant or Paterno himself alert the police immediately?! There's no other answer except for the fact that they wanted to keep it hush hush and try to sweep it under the rug. It's also known that Paterno told Sandusky to no longer bring boys onto the campus. Feel free to read the Grand Jury report detailing the investigation into Sandusky's depravities and then try to say that there's no way Paterno knew what was going on. He was charged on
40 counts of abuse ranging over a long period of time. You don't work with someone as closely as those two did for as long as they did and not see the signs of that kind of behavior. Gerry Sandusky started a charity to help boys from abusive homes and he used his influence and position in that charity to get close to these kids with the intent on sexually abusing them. It made me sick to read through it.
NY Times - Grand Jury Report
I put that in quotes because I pulled it directly off of an AP article, although its now been updated with newer information and I cannot promise the wording is the same, after reading the Grand Jury Report I still think Paterno should be allowed to finish out the season though, he told the athletic director who claims Paterno didn't, and from my reading of it Paterno conviced Sandusky to retire, Paterno may have had an idea that Sandusky was doing something behind closed doors but I doubt Paterno knew what, especially when a majority of the contact occurred in Sandusky's residence untill the 4th victim but I doubt Paterno was really monitoring the sauna that much, especially when its a heavily used facility (well it is at my school anyway).
Its easy to hide secrets especially when you keep your work life and home life seperate, and even easier when Sandusky had his charity to cover for him spending so much time with his victims, its like saying a man rapes several women and his wife/coworkers should be accountable because they would know if he was up to anything unlawful.
Well I think the board of trustees made the right choice in firing him and he gave them no other choice. They were under a tremendous amount of pressure and had they let him ride the season this is all they would be talking about. He should have stepped down on his own but he didn't think they'd have the balls to fire him. I think there's so much more to come out on this story and it's not gonna get any better for Paterno or Penn State.

Personally, it's whatever to me, but I think it's rather dumb that they're just straight out firing one of the best coaches of ALL TIME over something that had nothing to do with him or his personal life in any way shape or form...
"News broke last Saturday that Jerry Sandusky, Paterno's defensive coordinator from 1977-99, was charged with sexually assaulting eight young boys over a 15-year period. Among the allegations was a 2002 incident in which then-graduate assistant Mike McQueary -- currently the team's wide receivers coach -- said he saw Sandusky assault a boy in the shower at the Nittany Lions' practice center.
Prosecutors said McQueary reported what he saw to Paterno, who immediately told Tim Curley, the school's athletic director.
Curley and Gary Schultz, Penn State's vice president for finance and business, later met with McQueary, but the incident was never reported to any law enforcement or child protective agency in accordance with state law.
Curley has taken a leave of absence and Schultz stepped down, and both surrendered on charges that they failed to alert police to the complaint.
Paterno, while not implicated legally in the matter, announced Wednesday that he'd retire at the end of the season amid heavy criticism for not delving more into a situation that began in 1994. But the university trustees said later that they were ending his 46-year tenure immediately."
Their decision to fire Paterno is a stupid one in my mind, they should have just let him ride the season out if that's what he wanted to do, especially after everything he's done for the organization, but to each their own.

except they have a poor mans version of the saints offense due to the fact they have no running game or sproles type player to pass too. face it then and the packers are one dimensional, and we saw what happened to the patriots after they were exposed as 1 dimensional.

Fucking Charger o-line played like garbage. Rivers had no time to throw and all I wanted him to do was throw to Jackson or Gates. Jackson had one fucking catch.

Oh.
Thursday Night Football started.
This would explain why my coworker took a trip to San Diego for a Thursday night game.
I'm stupid.
And way too tired to go even look to see what damage I did to my fantasy teams by not checking them before today...

I'm sick of this Penn State crap. There is way more important things going on in sports right now. To name a few.....
WSOP Main Event ended in a 4.5 hour showdown
Tiger Woods is leading the Australian Open
Wilson Ramos was kidnapped
M&M's won't sponsor Kyle Busch for the final two races of The Chase
MLB free agency is kicking off
They should just save all this Penn State crap for Bob Ley on outside the lines.
That dude gives me the creeps like woah. Penn State needs to focus if they plan on having any shot of still winning the Big 10, they got a huge game this weekend.

Yeah, the Penn State story is not gonna go away anytime soon. It's only gonna get uglier. I don't think people have the faintest idea just how seriously fucked up that situation is because of how desensitized our society's become but once they start putting faces to the victims there's gonna be even more public outcry. This story really strikes a chord with me because my mom used to do a lot of work with child abuse victims when she worked for our county prosecutors office while we were growing up, my step brother's biological father is still in prison for molesting his younger sisters and we also had a next-door neighbor who went to prison for sexually abusing his two daughters that were around mine and my brothers age. For this shit to go on that long at Penn State without anyone taking action will most likely result in multiple law suits that will drag on for years.

Just read about new allegations of Penn State Officials "pimping" out young boys to donors. Seriously hope all these sick fucks get what they deserve.
