There was unnecessary roughness (15 yards) and unsportsmanlike conduct (15 yards) which offset each other and they were both penalties after the play so it should have been 4th down.
Even an official admitted he made a crucial mistake

also thought I should go back to this point and NFL has come out and said no penalty should of been called on staley which would of made it 1st and goal on the 3 yard line if the play was called 100% correctly, so it doesn't really matter because it's mcarthy's fault in the end for accepting a stupid ass penalty to give them 3rd and 6 again.
so your what if situation falls on mcarthy being an idiot and taking the penalty, nothing else.
also lol @ the afc north getting swept, what a scrub division.
