Turner never really broke free. Jackson is younger and already in the 10000 rushing yard club... I mean c'mon son... the improvements are there. Plus you get rid of your main back... all you got is little Rodgers on the bench.. might as well go after the best free agent RB.

I'm shooting you down right now because you can't even act like Mike Smith isn't a fucking terrible run schemer! C'mon man!
Watch him run Jackson straight into the teeth of the run blitz on every 4th and 1 they go for. Watch Steven Jackson's YPC plummet this year. Watch the Falcons call three pass plays after getting first and goal from the 3 because Smith is a stupid asshole that puts his backs in bad positions and then stops trusting them. Watch the Falcons fall short of the Super bowl year after year, but not part ways with Smith because Arthur Blank is a dick weed that can't see that Smith will never bring a championship down here.
Call me out for being a Cleveland fan all you like, but if you can't see what I see, I'm calling you out for being delusional.
But hey, looks like I'll be helping to pay for the new stadium that they don't need, so that's pretty cool. -_-

Im not saying Mike Smith is great at making a running game. But you're telling me its 100% his fault and not a little bit on Turner becoming a bum? Like for real, Turner cant beat the edge or make a cut to save his life. If you aint burnt out like Turner, here and there you'll beat that run blitz and its nothing but open field. Which is what happened... he got burnt out. Smith just trying what had been working.... Turner was getting 1000 yards seasons, then he slowed down. But I guess thats all Smith's fault?
Again im not saying Smith makes great calls, but 100% of the blame is derrppp worthy to me.And ill gladly watch my team fall short of the superbowl year after year, while you watch yours fall short of a winning season year after year
But really, watch it all work out

Well it only stands to reason that Jackson has more career yards when he has almost 800 more career carries than Turner because Turner wasn't even the #1 back until he got to Atlanta. He spent his first 5 years complementing Tomlinson in San Diego so he definitely has less wear and tear than Jackson. And if you're going to judge by last year's numbers, you conveniently left off the fact that Jackson had only 4 rushing TDs while Turner had 10. I'm just saying, if you think Jackson is going to be a significant improvement over Turner, keep fooling yourself. Maybe if was 6 years ago.
