So Manti Te'o had a "girlfriend" he never met but just talked to on the phone. Really? A girlfriend? I don't think talking to someone and never seeing them makes them a girlfriend. His dead girlfriend got him plopped in the middle of Heisman buzz. That's a good enough motive, I'd say. I feel bad for him, though. Everyone does stupid shit in their 20s, just not everyone gets publicly ridiculed by the whole country over it.
