Yes but those two u found are really the only ones important to my suggestion. Also this doesnt relate to the quote but, u jerks thats what u get for looking on the surface and seeing that its in the suggestion and was made by me, no jackson. But I geuss I can still laugh at u guys.

I had an idea for a new award that may or may not be a good idea, but I'll suggest it and see how well it's received.

My idea is for an award granted to members that take/have taken PureEvil's tour. Maybe those new members that take the tour can be granted the ability to create new threads, instead of having to wait until they have posted five times in the forums. It would cut down on new members posting multiple times in the same thread while trying to get their post count up in order to create new threads.

And on that note, I'll suggest again posting a link to PureEvil's tour on the home page, that way new members can take the tour as soon as they've signed up.

but how would it know if theyve taken the tour or not?

ah man i thought jackson fixed that noob thing, it was a pain. But i agree with taco how would we know, but if we did it would work.

Hmmm.... I guess that's one thing I didn't think of. I had come up with the idea since the fix to keep new members from creating new threads was working for the most part, except for the fact that some new members would double and triple post in other threads to boost their count up to five so they could create their own threads.

Good idea but it would be hard to prove. Really the only way to prove it would be to have them post in at least one thread, like the Gamertag thread.

I have thought of doing something myself with this. I have thought of making a new thread specifically for the TOUR and ask a Mod to close it immediately after it is made. That way I can still keep it update with my own edits, but no one else would be ble to post in it, it would be just the tour.

That way, instead of huge posts of the actual TOUR, I could just say "Welcome to the site, here is a great TOUR for new members that really shows what we here at XBA have to offer." with the word TOUR being a link to the actual thread.

I would just need a Mod who was on at that time to close it right away before anyone posted in it is all.

Just came up with another new idea for consideration, but not a new award.

How about a report post/thread function for members to alert the staff if another member is creating posts/threads that shouldn't be posted on this site. (i.e. advertising for free items/services that should be earned/paid for legitimately.)

That's cool. But don't we have some sorta report button or function. If so u r suggesting an uphrade or something but if there's a thread ppl will agrue their case and it wouldn't b anonymous.

Well ppl can jist find a random pic and do that but it idnt sound too bad. Ok this just hit me, have an award, for the first person to play a new game, and the person must have 10 non spam post, plus if they have it once they can't get it again. it might b complicated and a little work for admins as thy have tocheck the conditions but they have access to the lists right? The reason I put certain limitations is because of some foreign players, not just ppl with region specific consoles just those that come here to get ranked. Nothing rong with that but still. If u got question or negative positive comments post em.
Edit: awards called fresh outta the box, new game smell, or something close to that.

That Wouldn't Work some people can get a game Early Whether they work for a retailer and get it early, or they Pirate it.

As far as I can tell, there isn't a report post/thread function. And as for arguing their case, the member(s) who are posting things that shouldn't be on the forums wouldn't be able to do so, because the report post/thread function would send the information regarding the item in question to the staff, and the staff would be the only ones to see the report about the particular post/thread.

well yes, anyone could see the thread or post, BUT hes saying if you hit the 'report thread' or 'report post' button, only the mods or jackson would see that and know that youve reported it.

also, an add-on to the report thing, if they do make it, they should add a spot where you HAVE to give a reason why youre reporting a post or thread. like its irrelevant to the topic, its just spam, etc etc. so that way you couldnt just report a post 'cause i dont like him' or something stupid like that.
