Jeff Bridges is Bad Blake, a faded country music legend who is forced to reassess his dysfunctional life during a doomed romance that also inspires him. Bridges won the Oscar for best actor for this role in which he performs all the musical numbers. Definitely worth a watch even if you're not a Country music fan.
This new one's for Mini. Scores have been updated.

Francis Ford Coppola's second installment in the Corleone family saga, based on the novel by Mario Puzo, tells two stories. Michael (Al Pacino) expands the family business while a parallel story illustrates a young Don Vito's (Robert De Niro) journey from Sicily to a life of organized crime in New York. While the boat in AJ's screenshot had nothing to do with the story of Invictus, the boat in this shot is the center piece of one of the most iconic moments in film history. Spoiler: Click here to toggle spoilerIt's the boat that Fredo is shot in while fishing towards the end of the film.
SilverSlugger was the only person to get that one right. Scores are updated.

John Wayne hung up his spurs to star in this romantic comedy that won two Oscars. He takes on the role of Sean Thornton, an an Irish-born American Heavyweight boxer who quits fighting after accidentally killing an opponent in the ring. He returns to Ireland to reclaim his family's farm in Inisfree and falls in love with the fiery Mary Kate Danaher (Maureen O'Hara), the spinster sister of the bullying, loud-mouthed landowner "Red" Will Danaher. Sean and Red duke it out in one of the greatest fist fighting scenes ever. The fight lasts so long that they stop at the local pub for a pint before resuming the fight. The screenshot is from when Sean takes a bucket of water in the face during the fight.
Only Braz, Keane and Mini got that one. Scores are updated. We have another tie for the lead.

Yay I'm for sure I know this one!
And Mudkip, I said that #16 was "Insomnia." The boat shack reminded me of the one in Insomnia, though now that I think about it I'm pretty sure there wasn't a boat in the shack.

George (Weird Al Yankovic) and his buddy Bob cannot hold down an job so George's uncle gives him a break and lets him run a local run-down UHF TV station that he won in a poker game. To everyone's surprise, even George, the station's popularity skyrockets enough to rival the top local network for ratings and scumbag owner RJ Fletcher won't stand for it. The screenshot is from the scene where George makes Bob his favorite snack, a twinkie-weiner sandwich, to say he's sorry for getting them fired again. Available on instant Netflix.
Keane was the only one to get that one so he has the lead now. Scores are updated.

Well maybe if you spent a little more time watching movies instead of stroking it to Trials, you might be doing better. Don't feel too bad, apparently nobody's recognized this one yet, which is just a little surprising to me.

Danny Boyle's explosive 1996 film tracks the misadventures of a group of friends in Edinburg, Scotland (cast including Ewan MacGregor, Robert Carlyle and Jon Lee Miller) as they try to find their way out of joblessness, aimless relationships and drug addiction. Some are successful, while others are hopelessly not. Based on Irvine Walsh's novel, Trainspotting melds grit with poetry and drama with hilarity. The screenshot is from the scene where Renton (MacGregor) overdoses and ends up in the ER with a nurse about to administer a shot of adrenaline. The cinematography was terrific, giving us a first person view of Renton's feeling of sinking into the floor after he shoots up, hence the shag rug framing the sides of the shot.
Nobody got that one. Scores remain the same.
