That's right, Microsoft has changed their pricing scheme to be more compatible with the standard price of Xbox Live Arcade titles and downloadable content. Previously available in only 500 point increments, they can now be purchased in 400 point increments. This means 400 Microsoft points can be purchased for $4.99, 800 for $9.99, 1600 for $19.99, and 4000 for $49.99. Previously, the only way to obtain an even number of points was to purchase point cards for 1600 or 4000 points from retailers. That's great, now I can even more easily justify these purchases :-/

Microsoft Points Now Available in More Sensible Incriments

Well, it seems Microsoft finally got wise to the fact that the increments of Microsoft Points didn't make much sense. That, or the mass of gamers complaining to have 100 points leftover to spend on nothing finally got to them. Either way, Microsoft has re-evaluated and changed the increments Microsoft Points can be purchased in through the Marketplace.
