She was 12 when she filmed it, she got famous in the US later because she started acting full time yearsssss later and did pirates. You're confusing causation and correlation.
Ewan (EWAN) McGregor did better BEFORE Star Wars, iirc.
Oh hey- what about Liam Neeson? That guy's in everything now- Star Wars really propelled him! See, it doesn't always work like that lol.
I do agree about Marvel movies kick starting careers, to some degree... But for a lot of them (RDJ for example) it was a perfect storm. The writing and character was perfect for his established personality. Same with Cap- Chris Evans does a crazy good starched, boring character. Chris Hemsworth is fabulous eye candy who could sell tickets just by flipping his hair and flexing his biceps. Mark Ruffalo was a great Hulk, considering how shitty Edward Norton was IMO.
It's hit or miss, but except for RDJ, the actors' stocks didn't take off until the Avengers, so it isn't so much that Marvel movies are gold every time as it was team dynamic.
But seriously the marvel universe is massive, there's no reason to believe they can't get the same incredible chemistry from a different group of actors and characters.
