keeping your 360 cool......

Alright boys and girls here is one thing to remember ,and even though microsoft has revamped the heat-sink in the x-box 360 it is still a critical matter. So what to do....I think I have the answer.I purchased a small portable but large enough fan, that sits in the back of my entertainment center complex , to continously move cool air into and around my 360 and other components( stero, amps,).This is critical in that the 360 must stay cool( not warm,COOL! So by moving air into the unit it stays cool and therefore has a chance against HEAT which in the slighest form (even with the new heatsink) will eventally be the undoing of our systems.iIwould recomend and advise you to get a good fan and plug it in to your amp so that when you turn on the system ( which my system is tied into the amp, tv and 360) they all come on and are instantly being cooled which i believe is the reason my system has not yet gone down, and why i believe it wont.

i have had that intercooler since i got my xbox and never had an issue with it and my system stays cool all the time. If you have an entertainment center a fan for that space is a must(like sailor is saying). The portable fans are nice but they make some computer fans that run on AC(120V) that you can just splice into a regular power cable and they fit a lot better into the entertainment case(they also come with screws for mounting).

i have an intercooler and it keeps my xbox pretty cool. i also put a 10 pound weight under my xbox in order to keep i a bit up in the air so it gets more air into it and stays cooler
