Just Cause 2 Discussions/Reactions

Anyone else looking forward to this game? I never got a chance to beat the 1st one but what i played i found surprisingly enjoyable/over the top fun. Just Cause 2 got a 9 out of 10 from the new Game Informer and looks to be a pretty fun game. Not sure if ill buy it but its definately going to get a rent from me. GI says "One of the most entertaining sandbox shooters ever created."

the demo blew

Loved the first game but yeah the demo blew. Not really looking forward to this game anymore.

Well since alot of u guys seem like u have played it *(id hope so)* Whats it about? do u use guns or just run around beserking? i dont even know if its a racing game or a shooter so please fill me in guys

Man, I loved the demo of this so much. I played it probably 10 times, just screwing around and having fun.

Then I rented the actual game and... I don't know. It's not as fun for some reason.

Part of what sucks is they make you do 4+ missions consecutively right off the bat instead of letting you mess around in the open world.

I'm going to rent it again later and give it another try, there's just a lot of other stuff worth playing right now and my Blockbuster finally got a big batch of new games.

It's an open-world "sandbox" game, sort of like Grand Theft Auto or Crackdown. Some of the missions involve crazy stuff like hanging from the bottom of helicopters, taking down a convoy of moving vehicles by moving between them, and apparently there's one where you fight on top of a large airplane.

You can use guns and other weapons. You have a grappling hook that can also be used to tether things together, and a parachute that you can open anytime you want. Combined with the physics, it makes for a lot of craziness and accidental "fun".

just saying, but i've been playing this game for 7 hours, forgot to save 3 times, and repeated the same missions several times so far because of it, and i've yet to have gotten bored with it

im definitely loving this game so far and plan to take it pretty far as far as Chievos go

lol the game has an autosave so y have u had to replay several times? I bought this game last week when it was Amazons deal of the day and so far from what ive played(about 6 hours in) ive been lovin it. Its great fun, the graphics r pretty nice(u can see the mountains n blimps n towns from all the way across the island in the sky), controls r pretty solid and its over the top awesomeness

so upon arrivin at the airport on just cause 2 this morning i realized i could not only fly a jumbo jet, but attach my car to the jumbo jet and have it fly me through the air. First i did this in a porsche, then i stole a military hummer and attached it not thinkin about how much heavier the car was, needless to say my hummer launches up when the jet takes off, slams into the jumbo jet, and BOOM the jumbo jet explodes and im set soaring into the fucking ocean LMFAO...it was amazing

I bought this game about 4 or 5 days afer release, I wasn't going to get it at first because of how much i disliked the first, but after reading the reviews it was recieving i gave it a chance, and boy was I pleased. This game is like a being given a whole island to play with, you can string guys up to light poles and beat them to death with your grappling hook, you can scoot around with a parachute and grappling hook....very spiderman-esque! You can attach debris to your car and use it like a ball and chain smashing bad guys in the FACE, base jump, stand on your car in motion and shoot enemies. Basically this game is about as stylistic as a John Woo movie, but the action is completely in your control. I have played the game for over 35 hours, and I have only done 2 main mission, their is no forced objectives....you can just do the first mission and then screw around on the island till you find the characters from Lost, plus the hidden easter eggs strewn about the island are a fine treat. Give this game a try, and really give it a try don't give up on it if you're having troubles....it will reward you I promise!
