Ok so I had a double problem, I couldn't post about this til now and then my real problem. The real problem is I could not introduce myself until I had 5 post. So I'm thinking how can a nooblet post a thread in the intro while me a noob had to get 5 post to post said thread. Not sure if it was me, or if it was the site, or if it was because I introduced myself 15 days after I joined, or if I posted somewhere else first, but I just wanted to say something

Probably was a bug - I'm sure if Jackson made a change he would have announced it, he's really good for announcing changes when he makes them.

It's been fixed. About a week ago I introduced a restriction on new accounts, allowing them only to create new threads once they've reached five posts. I forgot that this would affect the Introduce Yourself forum as well. I've added an exception for that forum.
