Anyone who's done this, how long will it take. They said about 2 weeks. And what are my chances of getting a new iPod?

iPod at Best Buy

I just had to return my 30Gig iPod at best buy for problems with the center button. I have the 3yr warranty with them, but they said I was also under Apple's standard warranty, so they had to send it to Apple. They also said if Apple can't fix it, they would tell best buy to give me a new one.

So it doesn't work like the 360 warranty? where if the 360 goes bad and you are still under manufactures warranty you can trade in at best buy THEN if that one goes bad u can trade-in again at best buy using the 3 year?

The 360 was a PRP for Replacement plan. The Ipod is a PSP for Service plan. The 360 will be replaced and the PRP fulfilled. You would have to buy another PRP on the replacement 360. The Ipod is sent for repairs, and only replaced if deemed unrepairable (costs to much, repairs to extensive, etc..)

Yup. And I heard that if your iPod needs repair more than three times, they will just start replacing it. Just what I read from some guy on the internet.

LOL
Thats the No Lemon clause in the BB PSP. If a product needs to be repaired three times, the fourth time they just replace it. Doesn't have to be the same repair either. Once replaced, like the PRP, the Service Plan has been fulfilled and you would need to buy a new one for your replaced product.

On the PRP for the 360, they will replace if it's under the manufactures warranty still...WITHOUT using the actual PRP one time trade-in...that is what I was told at best buy when I bought it...and didn't u say I would just tell them the new serial number and the PRP will be valid for that one until the same date(2007). That is saving the hassle of going through MS so I can just go to the local bb and do it.

Anytime a product has to be replaced under the Manufactures warranty or within the 30 day exchange period, you do not lose your PSP or PRP. Sorry about that.

Just thought like adding that being on hold with Apple sucks.
