Man I haven't listened to Green Day since the Dookie album. Back in the day I used to listen to that non-stop.
Green Day isn't the first band I would have thought of to be the next "single-act" music game (it will be interesting to see what associated bands are in it; GH:Metallica had some of the greatest stuff ever) but I know there are a lot of GD fans out there so yay for them.
I will definitely rent this and play it really hard for a day or two. I don't mind this bloated glut of music game releases since I just rent games constantly anyway; that being said, though, I think the companies might be digging a premature grave for the genre.

I personally love Green Day, mostly their old stuff like Nimrod (my favorite album of theirs). I dont like Rockband that much, more of a Guitar Hero guy but maybe I will get this one. I dont think their new stuff is emo or anything, its just that their old stuff is way better.

Rock Band 2 came out in Sept of '08 and we didn't see another game from Harmonix until The Beatles game came out in September and then Lego RB last month. I blame Activision for the over-saturation of these music games and I don't even play their games.
