Gamestop has a 7 day return policy if you don't like a game. I had CSI Hard Evidence + Hannah Montana the movie game. I returned both games and bought Saw + Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix. What if I finish both of these games before the 7 days is up? Can I return them and trade for some thing else? How long is Gamestop going to tolerate this?

I personally don't do this because I have worked retail for almost 10 years and I know how it feels to have customers try to take advantage of your stores generosity.

I've never had a gamestop make a big deal about doing the returns, and I've been doing it since the PS2 days. Over and over and over again- it only sucks when you forget and end up with some crappy $35 game that you didn't really want, and were counting on being able to trade it back in.
Every one I've ever been to advertised it as a way to sell short games. They say "And if it doesn't work, you don't like it, or you just beat it within 7 days, bring it back for a refund."
Because you COULD be returning it for your money back, then buying a new game so your reciepts would only show buying a game. Plus for every person who does it over and over and over (at which gamestop still has their money, AND the games that are being returned so it's not like they're out anything) they have 15-20 people who forget and end up keeping the games longer than a week.
But seriously, they do this to push people to buy used games whenever possible- for Gamestop, used games are pure profit, and they make more off a $55 used game than a $60 new game.

So you can take a game back within 7 days and get money back? Or do you have to exchange it for a different game?

I can give a shit how often you buy used games and return them lol, but it all depends on who your sales person is. There is this one mexican kid that comes in with his mom all the time, and runs this system. every once and a while he will keep one of the games, but he loves to keep exchanging out. I usually deal with them all the time, and I dont care if they exchange or not.

I didn't know about this exchanging deal, but I like the concept. Must try it out. Can you go to other Gamestops even if the purchase was made at one and you try to exchange at another?
