I like it! I had a little bit too much fun making a little jungle room for my Centipede cabinet.

well I just glitched the game where its a bear collecting white dots and going up and down the stairs, i started jumping in a random corner, and I walked through 5 levels! It racked up 149,000 points! I dont remember the game name but i know I would have gotten first place on the leaderboards if I had the game!
Im buying it this weekend! lol

Well if there's one thing that this new arcade game room has shown me is how terribly awful these games were compared to todays games microsoft is only going to get the older gamers with this I can't see the younger gamers showing an extended intrest in this. . . .
But I guess if this is how all arcade games are to be delivered now it might be cool . . .
Couple of questions for anyone:
1. How do you buy a game? I clicked on the "buy"
button on several and nothing happened?
2. How do you play at a friends arcade?
But I guess if this is how all arcade games are to be delivered now it might be cool . . .

To answer your first question: When your at the main menu just go to the store tab and pic the game you want to buy. Games range from 240 mp to 400 mp for the play it anywhere versions. Which I don't get, maybe for both 360 and pc?
Second question: Also at the main menu go to the friends tab and select a friend from the list at the bottum then once the option shows up press the x button and you'll magically be whisked away to their arcade.
It does cost tokens to try their cabinets, unless you've already purchase the same one for your arvade. But I don't understand the reasoning for doing this? But you do get tokens for each friends room you visit.

I can't seem to download the game packs at all. It gets to about 3% and says it can't download them. Any advice? I have plenty of room for them on my HDD.

I do enjoy choosing themes for rooms and putting objects in them. That part of arcade was done pretty well. You ought to be able to walk around freely though.
I am still on the fence about game room. I don't think many of the games released so far many people would consider classics. Some ol' beat 'em ups would be great! X-Men, Captain America, Spider-Man, The Simpsons. I would gladly pay 400 G for any of those in Game Room. We'll see where Microsoft is going with this, but the consensus on most of the forums seems to be everyone is pretty unimpressed so far. I remember being so excited hearing about Game Room when it first hit the news.

I think as it goes on more companies will jump on board and offer ports/licenses of their games to go in to Game Room.
What I would really love to see is some kind of incentive for people who already own Live Arcade versions of games that come to Game Room later. Like say, If you already have XBLA Galaga, then you could buy Game Room Galaga for 80 points or 160 to use it on GFWL as well.
I love a few of these retro titles but I do hope they keep moving forward and offer newer arcade games. If they get the AD&D arcade beat 'em ups in there I will make baby gravy in my pants.
If anyone wants to swap some quick challenges in Centipede, Finalizer, Battlantis or Astrosmash, holler at me!
