Alright, the rundown. Texas Heat IS the new primetime program to replace 1v100. The events will feature MS point and arcade game prizes for the top 3 players each session as well as exclusive avatar apparel. According to the games OFFICIAL site, the DLC allows FREE access to the Live games. I am assuming it will be similar to the beta in which you download the demo and DLC and everything will be blacked out til the scheduled game time, then Texas Heat option becomes available. Now for achievements. Most are easy and straightforward. I got 16 of 20achievements today. The most time consuming are the all-pro tourney where you have to be at least level 26, reach level 50, and get 500,000 bankroll. XP is gained easily by doing various things like be dealt a hand, fold for free, fold with a losing hand, win a hand, takedown another player, go all in, or win a tourny. As for the primetime achievements, they also seem fairly simple. The one for winning a Hot Pot is easy since a Hot Pot is just a big pot, nothing special. I believe a gold medal is given to all that finish at the triple diamond table, easy enough. 5 million chips may sound like a lot, but the triple diamond table buy-in is 250,000. By playing conservatively, you can get 1 million in 2 hours of play, meaning 5 million only takes 10 hours or 20 games. Considering the current schedule includes 12 games a week, it should not take long.

For wp7, do the achievements double up?

If it were free w/ achievements like 1v100, then I'd be all over it. But fuck paying for it when they'll probably cancel it just like they did with 1v100.

i had trouble with Larry i think. he is the 3rd pro and bully play style. So i bet all in on the first hand. I beat him with a pair of deuces.

Yes...to a point. What same ones there are like level ones, but you have to beat the pros again, but its fun. It seems most the experience you earn on WP7 and vice versa xfers to the other. I reached level 10 on my phone and then played a little later on Xbox and moved up to 14, played 1 hand and the level 10 achievement popped

The reason 1v100 was canceled is because MS was paying large sums of money for the 1v100 name and Sprint wasn't willing to front the cost. After failing to gain additional sponsors, the game was canned. Now that they have learned their lesson and created their own IP, the possibility of cancellation is slim to none. I can only imagine a cancellation occurring when the next primetime game releases.

Tried the demo last night, game moves way to slow and the animations are stiff. I'm sure it plays slightly faster online, I'll pass on this game.

The only complain I have so far is the camera. I can never see what I'm up against all-in heads up

Achievement update.
I am now almost level 30, 50 will come in no time. As for bankroll, it's so easy to gain more if you know how to play. I built up about $5000 and started playing $1000 buy-ins until I could play $10,000 buy-ins, which I played until reaching $100,000. Then I played $25,000 buy-ins and lost some bankroll. I plan on playing the $50,000 buy-in next to get my bankroll up. Half a million should come soon.

I am now level 48, 50 can't be difficult. I also got $500,000 for winning the all-pro tourny! @ cheevos at the same time! Almost done with it!

I got to level 50 in about 15 minutes and $500k in about 10 on my phone! Super-glitch FTW! All I need is the 50 hands without busting and the all pro tournament win and it's another 200 pointer for ol' evol!
