This is ridicilous. Money, money, money. Why don't they spend more time fixing their game and preventing cheaters from ruining the experience that everyone has already paid $60 dolllars for. The greed of some companies is sickening. Maybe someone from Bungie should give Activision a call and let them know that they already do the same thing but for FREE. And they've been doing it for years now.

Bungie sort of did the same thing with Bungie Pro (I just realized that) But that was for useless stuff like 25 File Share slots, which is understandable since it takes up bandwidth.

Yeah Bungie Pro is kinda like this, but to a lesser degree. I mean who really cares about having 25 file share slots? I know I don't.

I wonder how badly Activision is hurting for money that they have to roll this program out.
There is a sure fire way of ensuring that this program doesn't succeed. Don't buy it. By not purchasing the elite subscription, you are telling Activision to remove the program and doing this also helps ensure that no one else will follow Activisions foot steps.
We are already paying for Xbox Live, the game, and any DLC they come out with. If they need a stable income coming in monthly, then come out with some Premium DLC monthly.

Call of Duty Elite FAQ released on their website:

Still on the fence about this. TBH I am not that excited for MW3 as I have been for other COD titles in the past. It just doesn't seem to be all that 'new and improved'.
I am more excited about BF3! I played BF2 on PC religiously and glad they are finally giving that game a worthy sequel.

I am going to keep an eye on this thing, even though I don't play the game itself. I really hope this idea fails on a massive scale and the company takes a huge financial hit, so that other similar minded companies take the hint that most of us don't like the idea of this sort of crap being shoved into the market-place.

I hope it fails too. But I dont think it will . Millions of super CoD fans are gonna pay for this shit sadly.
EA just announced the same type of service for Battlefield 3 also. But its 100% free. LOL They just keep taking slugs at IW left and right!

Elite is not a new type of XBL Subscription. It's an extra subscription for COD to keep track of your... w/e not really trying defend it.
Why would you do that? By ban I assume Bad Review & Avoid player since I doubt you're a mod for XBL. That's just idiotic to cast people out if they want to pay for something more or less useless...

For CoD Elite? Its not really close at all. That Bungie Pro actually gave you something useful with the extra file share slots. CoD Elite is like in depth stat tracking... and everyone else just does that for free.
