I am a little leery about getting this, but my wife is really pushing for it. I already have a gold account and so does my oldest son. My younger boys both have offline accounts.

My wife will stay out of the plan, as she's happy just having a silver account. I know there were some issues with this plan when it first appeared but I haven't heard anything lately.

Any information and input would be great.

We went to the family plan as soon as it was offered. Someone probably has more details on the pricing, but I think the price for the family pack of 4 was about the same as two golds. At the time, my husband and older son had time remaining on their gold accounts and mine was due to be renewed- so we did the family plan and it gave us credit on their remaining time for merging the accounts (hope that made sense).

As far as issues, I haven't had any that weren't easily sorted. I think we had an issue with entering Cod elite code (but resolved it by entering on website). I do think it's slightly annoying that the primary member has to purchase points and distribute them to the other accounts (might be a setting to change to fix it, but idk and I havent bothered to look).

For what it's worth, we like it.

Still $99.99 per year, but you do get four accounts.

The downside is that each account that isn't the main one is a child's account. My wife's account got downgraded to a child account (not that she cares). The other downside is that since you are already getting each account essentially at $25.00/year, you can't just apply one month or 12 month cards to your account.

Unless you plan on letting the younger ones or your wife go online, you could in theory only buy 12 month cards when they are on sale and spend the same or less than the family account. Not a whole lot of other upsides...they used to do once a month a "Family Deal of the Week" on an arcade game, (and I haven't seen that since the dash update).

Me and my room mates split one and we've been in it for 11 months no serious problems. Only issue we had was difficulty downloading demo's of M-Rated games. Other than that it's been fantastic!

We have it and really the only problems we have is that Melissa is considered a child account like Mini said. As long as you are going to use it for your kid's accounts, you really shouldn't run into too many issues. Using it for your family is a really good deal. Trying to use it for 4 hardcore gamers could really get annoying.

We have gold for Melissa and me, our 9 year old and then I have 1 boosting account that I keep gold as that comes in handy since we have so many consoles.

I use the family pack, and I have no issues with it. It hasn't prevented me from doing anything that I want to do on the x-box, and I have not heard my kids complain about any restrictions.

DONT DO IT IF ITS ALL ADULTS!!!!!!!!

it FUCKING SUCKS i have it my girls the main account and we have 4 adults on it and we are plagued with problems left and fucking right its horrible

things i cant do

browse mature content (even set as an adult or custom with settings allowing it)
cant use anytype of credit cards (points cards and redeem codes work great though)
CONSTANTLY HAVE TO USE MY GIRLS EMAIL AND PASSWORD TO AUTHORIZE NEW APPS
didnt mean to use caps above but im not retyping it

those are just a few of the 100's of issues we have had

also if you already have gold on any of the accounts the price gets cut and the time gets extended

we payed $65 and got 24 months per account still not fucking worth it ill pay the $100 to get 2 1years when mines up
