i never even tried out the MS perk.
in fallout 1 and 2 followers are pretty much crucial at times.
in fallout 3 they just steal your XP. deuce bags.
i really hope they are making some "serious upgrades", and i hope the game is very challenging, making the followers necessary.
well, neither of you missed anything. i wish i could have murdered fawkes. he'd shoot me or shoot the sky and not the fuckin attackers. Finally i ditched him in that underground place in DC and never looked back.

Dude Fawkes was the best companion in the game, his mini gun laser would destroy everything in its path, he soloed 2 giant radscorpions and barely lost 75% of his health. You must have just always been in Fawkes way trying to steal his well deserved kills and it angered him. If you wanna talk about useless companions look no further than Butch DeLoria, a gang leader who cuts hair....come on thats soooo 1980's.
