In all fairness, they should just get MS to fix the mistake that they (MS) made and charge 400 MSP to anyone who buys the game now and just let anyone who already got it have it for what they paid. Charging people more points for someone else's mistake is bullshit and ultimately MS is to blame so they should cover the loss, not us.
