Dragon Age: Origins

I just started playing this game today. I've got xbox360achievements guide bookmarked as well as a few others I thought that might be helpful. There are a ton of missable achievements and it's kind of scary. I'm playing a human female warrior character and I just got to the part where you finish the Joining ritual. Does anyone have any helpful tips, tricks or hints for earning achievements?

You could always clear your cache and do the leveling glitch as well, makes the game pretty easy and u can do it for all the character classes and knock out like 75 points I want to say? Cant remember.

Girl I'm glad you posted this because I just started playing this again, I'm going through as a Human Noble and just got done with the Origin of the Noble. I was looking for Meta's post, because he basically tells you how to complete the game, I just couldn't find it, guess I obviously didn't look too hard though....lol..So once again, Thanks

*scratches head* I could have sworn there was a part where Meta created a guide to complete this game, am I freaking crazy? Meta, did I just make that up or did you actually create something like that because I can't find it.

I did find a glitch for unlimited gold though, might help you out poison:

BTW..With the LVL Glitch, do the enemies level up with you? Or will this help you blow through the game quickly?

They do, but you are still pretty superior.

For anyone that needs it, this is the list that I used on a new game that worked for the Traveler Achievement (I did not have to go to the "Warden's Keep" room like a lot of guides say, just the house where it is located.:

Thanks Kroberts...I'm kind of feeling the same way about this game as I did Borderlands as in the fact that I just want the achievements...and BTW Borderlands friggin glitched on me with the Secret Armory DLC so now I can't complete it

But anyway, back on track, I know this game will take a while to complete....but Im shooting for it, and anything that makes it go by quick is alright in my book.......except for gamesaving

Thanks Meta, I think I have these saved in a word document. I'm going to put them on a flash drive and take them with me when I go to my boyfriend's tonight.

Thanks, this is really one of the things I was looking for to find more information about. The fact of having to touch every section in the game made feel like I was going to easily miss something. The xbox360achievement guide said you have to go through all areas of the Fade. I remember watching my boyfriend play this game and I know that he went in the Fade early in the game as a mage, so does that only pertain to mage characters, or do you enter the Fade later? Or does it really not count toward the achievement?

Don't want to even talk about Borderlands.. you have no idea how many glitches I experienced playing that game. I played the entire game splitscreen including all of the DLCs. We've had maxed characters get deleted, glitches that put us out of the map, full red screen for one character, enemies that you need to kill to proceed not appear, key items for quests not appear.. it was ridiculous.

I don't think I went to every area of the fade (I did the Traveler on my 2nd playthrough, and was trying to rush through as quickly as possible, while still hitting all the locations on that list) and I got the cheev. And the Mage Origin story is in the Fade, but every character does hit the Fade later on in the game in one of the main storyline quests.

Oh crap yeah I forgot I have my posts per page set really high.

Uh, iKidd just keep looking through that thread that I linked up there, I wrote a long post that gives a bunch of tips for playing that will make it so you can get the Achievements in the least amount of time.

You basically only have to do the 6 origin stories at about an hour per, then take the character you like best and play all the way through with them, doing everything. Then follow the tips I put up to get the rest of the Achievements. It is a little bit quicker if you do it the way I suggested with females/males but not required, so if your "human noble" is the "wrong" sex don't sweat it.

Yeah I have had SEVERAL of those things happen to me too, but I was, and still am to somehow complete it. I guess I need to find someone with the Quest to blow up the armory so I can get the completion achievement.

But yeah, I feel your pain, and those arenas were mind numbingly awful

Okay, kind'a pissed off here. I loaded up Dragon Age at my boyfriends house. I bought the game for him last year for his birthday, so he had The Stone Prisoner DLC on his HDD. Now that I'm back at home, it won't let me load either of my character's profiles because it can't access the DLC, and it's telling me to load from the storage device that it's located on.. which I obviously don't have. Is there any way to get around this or is this profile fxcking screwed unless I play from his HDD or buy the DLC?
