Dirt 3 Early Discussions/Reactions

So here's the first video of Dirt 3 that debuted on ESPN during the X Games tonight, hopefully it doesn't get removed

Figured I'd post this update and get peoples reactions, personally I just started playing the first 2 Dirts within the last 3 months or so and love em, haven't completely finished either of them but from a racing standpoint they're great fun and awesome to play online with a friend or two. The 3rd doesn't release till 2011 but looks like it will finally include some actual weather and some snow! Woo

I played 1 and 2, but still need to finish 2. This series suffers from the same problem as most driving games. In order to boost available playtime hours, you have to race the same tracks over and over. I'm bored with that. Not sure how the developers will get around that, but the video looks like a cross between dIRT and Stuntman Ignition. I hope this isn't true.

I've 1k'd both DiRT 1 & 2 and I am sooo excited about 3 coming out next year. I am a huge fan of Rally and Rallycross racing. I love these games and welcome number 3 with enthusiasm.

for the brief couple minutes that i actually watched the xgames last night, it seems that i didnt pick the right time to watch

great timing though, the next game that im renting is dirt2. and it should be here tommorow!

I rented the first DiRT randomly and ended up enjoying it more than I have any racing game ever. After I 1k'd it, I rented DiRT 2 which had superb visuals and was fun but overall felt like it was lacking something compared to the first game.

I am definitely looking forward to trying 3 and seeing what the developers come up with to keep it fresh. Codemasters knows how to make good games.

AJ do yourself a favor and play DiRT 2 you will love it. I couldn't stop playing it when I got it on release day, I played for like a month straight it never left my console. Im really looking forward to DiRt 3, codies makes great racing games.

I love this, can't wait to pick it up. But they should have kept it the Colin McRae: DiRT series. I know he's dead and all, but really, he was awesome and now there's Ken Block on the cover. (Not that I don't like him but) I would have been better to keep the legend Colin McRae gracing the cover.

Holy crap those screenshots are sex.

DiRT already looked really good, and 2 revved it higher with the awesome dashboard cam and stuff like water splashing on the windshield.

It's one of those games that is so good at what it does & it looks so fuggin' sexy that people who normally don't like or play driving games have to get in on it. Like me!

I remember my dad showing me a video like this before. But what made it cooler was that Ken Block was drifting arould a guy on a segway. so lulz.

Im really exited for this game. im hoping they make this game more of a sim or at least have to the option
