I am rooming with 2 guys that are huge in to fighting games and there has been a glut of them lately--SFxTekken, UMvC3, MK9KE, VF5FS, Tekken Tag 2, and now DOA5.
It's a great time to be a fighting game fan! Capcom's bed-shitting notwithstanding, the whole fighting game community is having a second renaissance.
Specifically, the smooth and intuitive fighting of DoA5 will be a nice change from the crazy technicalities I've been trying to wrap my mind around in VF5FS and Tekken Tag 2.
And I know a lot of gynophobic game reviewers out there have an issue with the hyper-sexualized female characters but I think it's just eye-candy icing on a solid fighting game cake. Watching breastmeat flop around while your character is whoopin your friend's character's ass is great.

Team Ninja released a free update for DOA5.
It's about 206mb--it adds a new level, Zack's Island, as well as an exhibition mode you can turn on in local modes which will temporarily unlock all characters and stages. Titles, records and Achievements are disabled with Exhibition Mode turned on. Exiting the local mode will turn exhibition back off.
Supposedly more costumes are also unlocked in this mode but I couldn't tell because I forgot which all ones I already had. I do know Lisa's ult sexy swimsuit floss isn't unlocked
The update is required, even for offline play.
