Comedic Genius Harold Ramis Dead at 69
Famed comedy writer/actor/director Harold Ramis passed away Monday at age 69 from complications related to auto-immune inflammatory vasculitis, a disease he battled for four years. He first co-wrote and directed Animal House in 1978. He then went on to write, star and direct some of the greatest comedies of all time and some of my personal childhood favorites like Caddyshack, Stripes, Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II and Groundhog Day. He will be missed dearly but his legacy and his influence on the world of comedy will live on forever.
