i have heard of people getting legendary class mods lower than lvl 50 but imo thery are a big waste of time since you will be out lvl them before you know it.
@mo the surfer- no prob man, the trick to the chest in the sanctuary is that it always scales to your lvl, so if your lvl 20 it will give you lvl 20 gear, i would reccomend saving up like 5-6 keys then opening the chest all at once, i have a tendendcy to get uber purple gear when i do that

There's a neat little trick to get unlimited keys. It doesn't require 2 people to do it either. I have over 20 keys, opened the box over 100 times now without ever using a key.

I'm pretty sure it does. I'll test it later when I get home. I know they patched one of the tricks people were using.

There is a golden chest in Sanctuary that the keys open. Inside is usually some really great equipment.

i have almos 30 keys just from all the codes they had done got crap for lvl 50 the couple i used so just stockpiling them

the keys are for the chest like mo said, you need to set up a shift account (can be done on the menu screen after clicking extras) then on the extras page there is a shift code tab, click it, then hit the x button.
it's important to know that the gear you get from the chest is set to your current lvl, most people wait till the higher lvls to maximize their gear, if you do set up a shift account you should keep an eye on this thread, i usually keep it updated with the latest codes.
