I hope it doesn't have an achievement tied to it.
More than likely will since 1999 mode had one tied to it.
Ugh. I hate achievements that make you play the game a particular way, like dishonor ed did with its achievements. It very quickly can suck the fun out of a game making you play it a way you didn't want too.

Levine said himself that they saw people play the non-lethal way on their own, so it's not like they tried forcing people to just play one way.
Play it normally then go back for the achievement, that's part of what replay value is.
No!!! Replay value is story changes and scenes you didn't see but want to! Forced replay through achievements is not replay value- otherwise the game has no value on anything but the 360. I wish game developers would stop confusing that.
Making an achievement for playing nonlethally or not is actually forcing people to play it that way since it takes away the freedom to play how you want.

While also limiting the fun you could of had, because maybe in some parts you want to stealth but other parts you want action but achievements prevent a cross blend of play styles which defeats the purpose of them.

Ok even without an achievement tied to the mode, playing non-lethally would still qualify as replay value. As it's another way to get through the story.
That was the way Dishonored got you to play through more than once.

Dishonored was a hell of a fun game too.
It was a lot different than Bioshock, though.

In some ways but not particularly.
With the 1998 mode, I will agree with you. In Dishonored, the teleport mechanic made stealth a piece of cake, as long as you knew where you needed to go to stay out of sight. I was always shocked that the bad guys never looked up. In Bioshock 2, there were splicers that could telelport so the mechanic is a possibility within the cannon of this game. I don't think it would be much use in Rapture, but in Columbia, you could really have some fun with it.
