They haven't been released yet. Not even Dead Kings, the first DLC, has a release date yet.
Because xbox.com said the american prisoner release date was 11/11/14
Free running has a "new" feature. Instead of normal free run you have to hold a different button combination or the faggot main player will stop a full out sprint to stand confused at a table or small opening like it's an impassable obstacle. You also move faster crouching than walking. Makes sense.
The climbing is fucking trash, "Oh... You want to go up this ladder literally 2 inches from your face? Nah, I'd rather teleport to a nearby wall or tree only to climb 5 feet then drop down and not actually climb at all. But if you find a wall with obvious hand holds I'll climb a couple until I get halfway up and then take a 3 minute break before continuing on."
The map from a top down view is a nightmare, it's literally so cluttered with missions, collectibles, etc that you can't see a single thing and often waste minutes trying to find out where you wanted to go.
Assassinations.... DON'T FUCKING WORK 90% OF THE FUCKING TIME! THEY DON'T WORK. There could be one guy below you, you hit the assassinate button.... If he even breathes by the time you get to him you'll just land next to him and stand there like an asshole until 30 more guards show up.
The health in this is atrocious. In previous games you could fight 40+ guys without so much as a single hit... You get hit once in this, you'll likely fail your mission or die since combat has been turned into QTE events pretty much. I have my health nearly fully upgraded, doesn't matter. A couple hits from a single enemy and I'm running for a hiding place to use up my health packs.
Hope you like tips on the side of your screen throughout the entire game. God forbid you want to see what you're doing, "lol hey, did you know X is assassinate? Just checking."
Don't accept any missions unless you plan to complete them immediately otherwise you'll have more shit cluttered opposite the "tips."
There's so much more shit wrong with this; environment items don't load on time if at all, sound goes in and out whenever it feels like it, THERE'S NO QUIT TO MAIN MENU.... The in game menu, however, is full of macro-transactions. They'll let you spend up to $99.99 to buy superior weapons, armor, etc. But most people like to earn that stuff, good luck. I'm halfway through the story and only have earned 5,000 whatever the money is. But there's an achievement for earning 10 times that.
This will end the AC series for me. Definitely not playing another one even if it gets 10's everywhere.
did you try and upgrading your armor? the first set has literally no protection, I bought some decent armor and can actually take a hit now, but you still seem more fragile. hell I beat ac: rogue without upgrading my armor at all lol.
it's definitely been a disappointing year for video games imo
Also does the app still cause save game wipes?

I think Black Flag is one of the best AC games, its far above the shit that they put out for 3, I have yet to play Rogue so no opinion on that.
I appreciate how they tried to change combat to make it slightly more challenging and therefor disincentivize just running into open combat (they wanted to push people more towards stealth whenever possible) and I found using stealth actually worked fairly well. I think issue was really just that it was clunky. They tried to make it similar to fencing apparently, but in fencing you don't kill people, soooo maybe they'll fix that for next time.
In general I would put it as least favorite AC game next to Revalations, but I give the game much more credit than most people would. Coop is fun, the achievements are pretty solid until the final grind in the end.
The story pissed me off the most. It was advertised as a game that takes place in the heat of the revolution where you play an integral part in it, but the revolution seems to be more a backdrop for a very cookie cutter plot that too closely mirrored that of the original game (which was actually done on purpose) but not delivered anywhere near as well. This is the part that bugged me the most though:
The introduced Nepolean in the game, and in the trailers there's this quote that goes something like "we traded one tyrant for another." Now the game itself goes on to portray Nepolean as a good guy. So when I heard that quote, I figured, based on what I know of history, that the two tyrants they were referring to were King Louis and Naplean, and that a major plot point would be that you help Nepolean gain power only to realize he's just as bad as a king and you help to overthrow him. They never even come close to that point in history and the big bad guy just ends up being Robspierre, who is only introduced in the late part of the story. So it doesn't mean anything to me emotionally when we go on and frame him and blah blah blah. They missed out huge on what could have been an excellent plot there.
