you have to connect an ethernet cord to the modem or buy a wireless connector..

im on the other side of our apartment from the modem...i was going to just use the ethernet cord i used at my house, but then i realized it was underground..as in underneath the house...it wouldve worked too cause its like super long...but idk how to get it out of the wall and from under the house..

thats pretty obvious, or maybe thats just me..just cause you can get on the internet, doesnt mean you can connect to live just because of that...

i wish it was that simple tho :( like, the 360 had a built in internet connector thing...and you would just hit connect on it and itd find the internet..but sadly its not..

they arent built into a wall, but they are in a corner...

and i cant move the modem, because i dont the the other cords plugged into it would reach my room, idk...

filter? whats the filter?

and the cord i use to plug my comp into the modem ( i think it goes to the modem? never really followed it..will edit in a min w/ if it goes to it) is stapled into the wall/floor...so that prolly wouldnt work..i dont think...


whatever, im just going to have at&t come do it...their like...pros at stuff like this...or i hope they are lol..

your right, they cant make it longer, mainly cause i dont have one (i have a phone jack cord, but it isnt the blue ethernet one)

oh and its a router, it has like 5 things plugged in right now i beleive..

it has the possiblity to hold 8 phone jack cords...im pretty sure thats what powers our internet..

WAIT A SECOND!


i just checked something, and i think i found our actual router :o

its like, 7 or 8 feet from my room..

i thought it was on the other side of the place, like...20 feet away from my room...

so the cord i need just has to be about..idk....15-20 feet...like 7-10 from my room to the router, and the other 5-8 to get it to my room door...hmmmm

theres a walmart (i beleive) and publix nearby :0 the walmart might have what im lookin for (just not 50ft lol)
