@sprinter-well, that was pretty extensive but informative, good job. only thing i'd interject is that the rb2 guitar was much improved over the first. i've never used the ghwt guitar but i do have the one from guitar hero 3 and the rb2 one is much better in my opinion. i don't know if they changed them since guitar hero 3 but the rb2 guitar is miles better in quality of construction and it looks sexier than the gh3 guitar.

The GHWT guitar is what I would call a hybrid of the GH3 Les Paul's fret buttons, the RB2 strat's strum bar, with a better, weighty heft to it, a nice tri-burst sunset colour scheme, and a touch pad that is really fun to tap instead of strumming and screw with to do wah noises but almost pointless for the actual slide section functionality.
@Live - I actually bought my mother an Aly & AJ guitar for her Wii for when she jams out to Dragonforce (i'm dead serious, my mother's in love with the band and plays TTFaF on Easy almost every day for fun/practice). The strum bar feels a smidgen flimsy but other than that the quality is close to X-plorer.
