Which are you?

In which camp do you belong? Do you play as many games as possible passing on the harder/annoying/time consuming achievements or do you like to grind out every game you play for the full possible gamerscore? Which motivates you more and why?

I like to play a game to its fullest before I trade it in, I really don't like to not play games to their fullest, and playing a lot of games and not finishing them seems annoying to me. So, I guess I am a completionist even though I don't 100% a lot of games.

neither, I choose not to let achievements rule my life. I decided that after my profile got hacked and I started to replay old games, it was boring and started to become a chore. So I decided to play games for the fun of it and for competive reasons. Just like the nintendo days. Where you would take that tunnel that skipped you a few levels up just because you wanted to.
I'm starting to care less about achievements, but when I finish the story of a game, I still try to get all the cheevos I can, but fun always comes first.

Definitely a Completionist here. I guess it is kind of a competition thing . . . me against the game . . . to try and get that 1000gs. Like Biscuit, I think I only have 2 games that I have actually 100%, but I try my hardest on every title. To the point of hating some games by the time I give up on the last 1 or more achievements - LOL!

Both.
I am a GS whore, but I will complete every game that I possibly can while doing it. I won't necessarily avoid a game just because I can't easily complete it, but I won't pick up a game that I cant get at least 70% or more of the achievements without poking my eyes out.

I try my best to max out the games i own and mostly i rent games so i can complete as much as i can while enjoying the game itself

It depends on the game. If I really enjoy the game I'll try to get the full 1000 but the majority of the time I skip any achievement that is very difficult because I just don't find it fun to grind it out. I have 980 GS on COD4 and loved the game, but Mile High Club just isn't worth the frustration.

For most games I am a score-whore, but for RPG's I am a completionist. Kinda wierd, but certain games like Oblivion/Fallout/Sacred/Borderlands completing them is not a chore at all and rather fun.

I guess while you are bringing it up, I'd be lying if I said I ignored achievements. I do try to get as many as I can, and I will go out of my way to get some. But I'm not playing a game three times just to get one achievement.
Thats all that I'm saying if an achievement seems impossible, fuck it, but easy achievements are a priority for me after I finish the story.

Neither really. I just play for fun mostly, but if I get some waffles I complete 'em. I don't go out of my way to get them though, and sometimes I just can't make myself play shitty games until I get some motivation.

Yeah, you should've offered a none of the above option in your poll. I refuse to spend countless hours trying to get every achievement for game unless I really like the game. Case and point: Beowulf. I beat it on the hardest difficulty on my first run thru and hated it so much that I said there's no way I'm gonna go through it again to get the other 280 points to complete it.
