I would say yes. I think the multiplayer is way better than that of Halo 2 (but the melee system drives me nuts). The campaign was fun but I beat it in four player co-op and it only took a few hours. I will enjoy it when I go back for the meta-game achievements. But I think Bungie had some high expectations to meet and I think they did an excellent job of meeting them.

Ever felt the need to complete a game in a couple of hours? After Halo: Combat Evolved my first game on the Xbox console I knew, that my borther and I could end a game fast, that the money we just used was worth it for a couple of hours. I am from the Nintendo Legion and let me tell you it took me 8 months to finish Zelda (Yeah, I was young... The shop song is still in my head) and after I finished it, it took me 1 week to finish it again, EXERCISE THE MIND.
Halo II came around and I was suprised, it was becoming a "Brother's" thing, he is very logical, it was like the "Rock & Sock" Conection Lol; we ended the game in Co-p and BUM "Money for nothing".
Then came Halo III, the bets were on! I am from San Antonio, but I live in Mexico City lol and I study in a big campus and all, and people were frantic with Halo, so they bet-
Who could have the ALL-Time Record- Ending Halo faster than anyone in the school.
We won.
And now that I finished Halo I have to say:
Dont buy it. LOL joke
Its a great game, better than all the crap that's around this days.

Haha,definitely I love Bungies stats online as well the achievements.So to me,yes they just need a few more maps.

i think it lived up to the hype but bungie picked a bad time to release it with all the games that are great coming out after it (cod4, gh3, and so on) it will continue to dominate if they put out a new map or two, or new weapons or stuff

The 4 player co-op was cool. I had alot of fun looking for stuff with my friends. But there's somthing wrong with the MP this time. Somthing that just dosn't feel right. It was hard to put a finger on what that was. But as the hype buzz faded, I relized that I just wasn't having fun playing Halo 3.

Well I know that I'm swallowing alot of crow pie when I say this but the storyline of Call of Duty 4 was just flat out DAMN IMPRESSIVE. I think it beat Halo 3 hands downs. I enjoyed ever minute of play and I didn't even get into the MP till the other day.
Now don't get me wrong, I love Halo 3 but the hype die down so fast it made my head spin
