Walmart & Game Trading

It looks like Walmart is following Amazon.com and Toy's R Us and getting in on the used game trade-in market. there isn't much info yet but it will be in a kiosk form in-store. they must have game reading capabilities on the kiosk or what's to stop anyone from shoving empty or blank disks in for credit?? guess we'll see.....

Hmmm....I may have to reach out to my buds and find out who's driving this one.

This is going to be neat if they put one in near me.
Overall, I'm pissed though.
Way back when, Houston was one of the earlier test cities for Redbox, and as soon as I saw one I started talking with a few friends I worked with about somehow getting a loan and setting up something similar, either a 'Green Box' for 360 games and a 'Black Box' for PS3 games, or just a single box for both systems.
It would be like Redbox (a dollar a day) except it wouldn't stop charging until the 60th day (an awesome way to take advantage of lazy customers as they'd end up paying 60 clams for a game that was likely 20-40).
It would be so awesome for gamers to be able to pull up to a kiosk and rent/buy games 24 hours a day like you can with movies at Redbox.
But now it looks like Wal-mart and other places are beating me to the punch. Not that I had a snowball's chance in hell of getting the loan anyway.

This is confirmed. They have one on display in the Home Office. From what I understand it's supposed to be affiliated with Redbox, but that particular part isn't confirmed.

Hmmm... They just built one of the SUPER Wal Marts near me. I wonder if they are going to put one of those in there. I would like to see that but I doubt that will happen any time soon.
