Has anyone played 'Velvet Assassin' yet? I admit that when I first saw the videos on xbl of the game I laughed a little and didn't really expect much from the forthcoming game.

Now that the game has been released and I've had some time to play through a little over half of it, I must say: The game is a lot of fun!

Now I'm a fan of the stealth genre mind you, and for some people the gameplay might be a tad slow paced but this game is completely ninja. I've had more fun playing VA than the last Splintercell and Tenchu Z combined. Sneaking up on Nazi's and slitting there throats makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Nevermind the bloody mess.

Anyway... if someone has an opinion on the game I'm all ears.

yeah sorry nemesis, I saw it at walmart the other day and thought about picking the game up, but like the other people I hadn't heard anything about it. I might rent it at blockbuster and give it a try

never played tenchu z, but the one i did play was stealth assassins i think.
i really loved it. did you play that one mask? is this game similar?

The achievements in the game seem to be fairly reasonable, it will still probably take 2-4 playthroughs to 1k the game. I am playing through my first time on Agent (Hard) difficulty. Not using a walkthrough or anything for all the collectibles/achievements, I'll do that on my 2nd go-round.


*edit* Yeah I read the IGN review and it seemed to me like that reviewer doesn't know how to play stealth games well. I've never had any of the shadow problems he mentions occur. I bet he's on normal difficulty too :)
