My computer has been running fine, but I\'ve often toyed with the idea of loading Vista, if for nothing else than to play the Games For Windows Live to earn achievements. I obviously wouldn\'t want to get rid of my Windows XP installation, since that is what I would be using normally.
I\'ve recently come into a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate (read between the lines...), and have loaded it in a Virtual PC on my computer at work to make sure it works. It seemed to load fine and has functionality, so the question I\'m wrestling with is Do I go through all the work necessary to resize my current partition and install Vista to dual-boot...or just hold off until I really have to, and until I can get a \"better\" copy?
A lot of my clients are getting new computers with Vista, and I haven\'t had enough experience with it to realize everything there is. I can still make my way around it and eventually find what I am looking for, but it is like going from Windows 98 to Windows XP: Everything is there, but has a completely differnet way of getting to it. So what do you guys think? Is it worth the time to try this? I would obviously back up my system before attempting this, but is it really worth the aggrivation should something happen to my Win XP install during either resizing or installation?
