It's worth noting that new iPods are expected to be released this month. So, if you decide on an iPod, I'd wait until these are released. Older iPods will probably drop in price as a result too.
Most digital music players will have some sort of software that will convert cds into whatever format the player supports. Usually this same software maintains a library of your music. Whenever you sync your player with the software, your player is updated with all the songs in the library.

OK, I'm confused with the memory thing. So, if the don't use hard drives anymore, but flash, what do I do if I have no more room for any more songs?
Also, which brands of MP3 players would you guys say have easy menu's to use? Or which ones have the most efficient menu system?

I'm not familiar with any mp3 players that are upgradeable. You just have to plan ahead and determine what size you'll need before you buy.
I have 3197 songs in iTunes which only amounts to 12.80gb. This might give you an idea of how much space your library will need.

Wouldn't iphone be the best choice for mp3 player?? I mean the ipod and nano and zune and all that other crap are pretty much obsolete right now. Especially when your PHONE can hold that many songs haha.

I'd say go for the iPod. iTunes is a very easy to use interface. Again, this is my personal choice, but I have an iPod nano and shuffle. I also have a Zune, but would still have to recommend the Apple iPod over the Microsoft Zune.
