Very much so, each game has a variety of trophies that are bronze, silver, or gold. The gamer card shows how many of each trophy that you have, and they all add together to form your "level". If you complete all the trophies for that game, you get the platinum trophy for that game and it gives you a substantial amount towards your level. I think it's cool.

Sounds interesting wait a minute not to jack but System x when do you get back in here?

What a rip-off.

Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum trophies.

Guess what... no platinum trophies for downloadable games. Not possible for the PSN Store. No game there will be able to get a Platinum Trophiy rank.

Now go buy your game and pay to download the update so you can get "trophies". Do you already own that game........ ????????????

Too Human looks awesome, but I'm bummed out that they bumped the 4 player co-op down to 2 players. Now those sweet buffs are only going to help you and one person out instead of a party!

because seeing "Achievement/s Unlocked
(insert achievement name here w/ amount of gs) or (insert number of achievements and how many G's)"

examples:
Achievement Unlocked
5G - Steppin Razor

Achievements Unlocked
2 for 175G

now tell me, would you rather see that, or would you rather see

"bronze trophy attained" like gasp g4u, but does it have a name and some gamerscore to go with it? no, because its boring like that >_<

I agree achievements are kind of like trophies every time we unlock one we get a picture with it witch is kind of like a " trophy " but we also get points with it

Eventually, that system will have everything the achievement system offers. Keep in mind 360's has been in tact for years now, you can't really compare. I'm just happy because it gives me and PS3 owners more to play for.

I guess there is only so much playstation can do so they don't totally rip off the Xbxo Achievement system. I have been planning on buying a playstation 3 for a while now just so I can play some of the console game for playstation 3. At least now I can enjoy it just a little bit more.

But I will have to agree with most of you, I like the 360 Achievement System a whole lot better.
