Well, after playing the game I have to say that this was well worth the wait and money. I had been waiting for this game for 2 years and it's truly a wonderful game. Not only did I and many many MANY others enjoy it, I would go as far as saying that this has GOTY potential.

Yeah... after renting it I am tempted to go trade in a few games and purchase this game. It has heaps and tons of replay value.

It really is a quality, fun game. Despite how crazy the premise is and how over-the-top the sense of camp and humour are, there is a really juicy combat system to dig in to and it's one of those games that rewards you for learning it well.
After beating it on Normal I immediately started over on Hard, and I haven't done that in a long time. Usually by the time I finish a game I am sick of it so I try to get as much as possible in a single playthrough, but Bayonetta actually got more fun.
I think I'm going to do the same as Mask and trade in some games to buy it. I left off on Chapter 5 Hard when I returned the rental and not only do I want to finish that, I want to go through on Infinite Climax too.
I would recommend this game to literally any gamer, even the type that only play Madden, Halo and/or MW2. It's that fun.

Just windering..what gives it the high replay value? I'm only asking because I was thinking of buying it too because the demo was fun as hell, but it seems like a game that I would finish in 2 days & never touch again.

The main replay factor comes from the fact that you are limited to Very Easy, Easy and Normal difficulties at the beginning. You have to complete the game once to open up Hard, and again to access Infinite Climax which is the hardest.
Many of the purchasable items and upgrades are very expensive so it would take multiple playthroughs to get everything if you didn't have my super sexy swingin' tips to farm halos easily.
Then there's also the Achievements, you can only grab about half of them at best in a single Normal playthrough.

In that case I'll probably have to go get it, might wait though & get it same day as Dantes Inferno.
