Per John Porcaro over at Gamerscore Blog, a recent interview with Joystiq it was mentioned that the XBLA Texas Hold Em game would not be free.

John was quick to point out that the product team said final details haven't been reached yet.

However, it would shock me if it was free.

There was a podcast from MN that had a guy stating it would be free, but would be sponsered by River Bell Casino. I'm sure with all of the recent litigation in regards to online gambling and advertising, that MS felt it would be in their best interest to release it as a pay for title rather than face litigation that this title is sponsered by a gambling company and kids see it and will want to gamble all of their toys away to keep playing. I'm guessing when it does get released (crossing-fingers) that it would land in the 400 MP like the rest of the card games.

Texas Hold Em and all things poker just doesn't interest me. I have a hard enough time bluffing my way into laying a Wild Card in UNO when I have the color playable, LOL.

Maybe...there are two third party Poker games coming out in the near future. If they went higher than 400 I think they would be commiting suicide against the full scale World Championship Poker: Featuring Howard Lederer and World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions.

Yea for awhile people were saying this is free but I guess now it isn't, what a big surprise:rolleyes: The card game I play is Uno anyways so I really dont care.
