Soul Calibur 4 help

I've been trying to get the achievements on Soul Calibur without any luck..am I doing something wrong or do these have to be done only online? The achievements in question are:

Perform 100 Critical Finishes
Perform 200 Impacts
Perform 20 Just impacts
Perform 100 Soul chrushes

I've been trying to aquire these while playing arcade and local 2 player. But as of yet, no achievements. :no:

Anyone have any advice?

I did mine in arcade and in the tower of lost souls, didn't take very long either. As for the soul crush, and critical finish I did it in multiplayer.

When u did multiplayer was it on or offline?

If I remember correctly, very few or none of the Achievement-related actions count in 2 player local. GameFAQs documents confirm this.

If you don't have someone to play online with, your best bet is doing Arcade, Tower, and Story modes.

You may want to rig some custom characters specifically for some of those, like Guard Impacts and Just Impacts, and use the appropriate weapon. I believe the Auto Impacts skill procs count towards the 100 Guard Impacts but not Just Impacts.

For the Soul Crushes and Critical Finishes, you'll want to make a character with increased Soul Gauge damage.

I did all mine in the tower. For the soul crush/crit finish there is a level where you fight 4 chicks (maybe level 11 - its been a while....) and the secret treasure is for killing them all with crit finishes.....I used Yun-seong - he has a like two hit combo that does makes it really easy to do a soul crush....I would do it over and over and over, crush and crit finish each of them until I got it. You can also do like Meta said and increase his soul gauge damage as well to make it go even faster.

As for the just impacts and impacts, I just created a character and used all the impact boosts there were. Although I ended up getting way more than 20 just impacts what I had done at first was use the skill that made all impacts just impacts and got that out of the way....then I changed around the skills and made them have the highest auto impact I could get, plus the skill that heals them after an impact and then went into a higher level on the tower and let people attack the crap out of me holding block (sometimes I did purposely try to block someone slow like Astaroth) and I got it pretty quick.....

Meta and Mini are on the right track for the crit finishes and soul crushes, do a creat-a Yun-seong style with low damage ability (2nd priority), high soul break ability (1st priortiy) high HP and def doesn't hurt either. do the forward Y,Y move that will get the soul-gauge damage then try and crit. finish it will take some time till you get use to it.

As far as the impacts I just made a master impact player and eventuly got it going throught up tower. Remeber to push towards your opponent during this if I recall right? Might be mistake with that last line?

Yea I am dude and the hero king achievement(level Up to 20 (online)) was a bitch took me about 4 hours and thats me already being level 3 or 4 send me a FR and when I get home from work we can play I havent played in months since I got hero king it took alot out of me

For the soul crushes and critical finishes use floor 11, I think, and use I think his name Is sung something. He wears a bandanna and has a "gypsy" sword. Those dam gypsies!!! IF you have him on floor 11 you can continuously press forward and and then press Y. Keep doing that and you will see there soul gauge turn black, then press RB. Send me a friend request if you have any questions. As for the level 20 online I will help you but I need to get my game back from my homie.
