Thought there was a forum about this, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, I got invited to the Shadowrun Beta last week, and I have to say that it is pretty sweet. FPS meets RPG...all on one DVD (Yeah yeah, I know it's bad, but I had to do it). It definitley brings a lot of cool features to your average FPS, and matchmaking is supposedly based on Halo 2's deep customizations. Definitley worth checking out when it drops.

I also received teh invite and will be downloading it this week. Maybe we can hook up for some game later.

Sweet, hit me up with an invite and we'll get in on some. When you do download it, make sure you have about a half hour, lol. Once you download the initial beta, when you go to run it for the first time you'll have to download a huge patch that was just released.

Will do. Just received word the NDA was lifted today, so the game can be discussed on sites and to the public.

I played some yesterday and found it just OK. There are some good quality parts to it, but the whole mundane pick your weapon, get rewarded to buy different weapon thing was bleh... Too much like PDZ and not enough like Halo IMO. Anyway, I will experiment more with it and try to get into some live matches instead of playing bots.

the game looks like it will be cool when it drops this june. i may end up reserving it soon so ill have a good game to play (that is assuming that Kane & Lynch: Dead Men dosnt come out during June and assuming that Vampire's Rain and The Darkness dont come out during the summer...luckily i have all 3 reserved so im good to go if they do come out this summer
