"Ringtones" for our XBL profiles ... It could be amazing

I got an idea after looking at many of my friends profiles on XBL.
I found it very dull and not unique at all.

So I got an idea.... XBL could sell a short 30 second ot 60 second clip of songs that you can add to you're profile... so that when another user opens you're gamercard they will hear the song that you chose.

This could bring xbox tons of cash... They could easily sell for 150 Microsoft points per song, or more for new songs.

This can even be sold at the "avatar store" when ever that opens.

I know that I would love to see this, how about you?

hmm...some song choices by me (you bash me for my choices i keel uz!! lol)

Turn My Swag On by Soulja Boy (thats my phones ringtone i get a call)
Super Mario Bros theme (ftw, thats the ringtone i wake up to lol)
Get Silly by Soulja Boy (ive been listening to it alot lately, its kinda catchy lol)
Let it Rock by Kevin Rudolf (not a half-bad song)
Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down
Safe Home by Anthraxx

i coudl come up w/ some more but dun feel like it lol

i don't actually think it's that bad of an idea.
if they did it right, yeah, i think they'd make some money fo sho.

i'd probably pay 150 points for a profile song, depending on the selections.

well, they could start off w/ some basic stuff. kinda like a cell phone. some basic proftone things....then you could have the option of requesting a song for your profile. give it a day or so, maybe even just a few hours, and itd find the song for you (remember, lots of people would prolly be using this at the same time) and you could then buy it if you wanted too

hellz yeah.
i think my only personal problem would be the selections though.
they'd probably stick with the more mainstream popular stuff, and i don't care for most of it.

however i do enjoy "psycho" or whatever from puddle of mud. i think that's kinda new...
i highly doubt stuff like nine inch nails would be an option.
last time i checked you couldn't really find anything like that as even a ring tone.

I think the idea would slow down the system, the more stuff there is to recall the the longer things may take.
And I also think its kind of annoying, reminds me of myspace, and also some people ( like myself) have music playing through their 360s so havin other songs play in the middle of yours could be annoying.

I think this could be a good idea, only if they test it out extensively before releasing it to the whole Live community....

then it just may work out for everyone without problems.

After much careful thought and consideration I don't like this idea at all. If looking at profiles is boring, then don't do it. Your gamer tile gives you all the personality that you need.

I also agree that the new dashboard is currently very slow. Adding more content will not help the situation.
