Big fan of all racing games but for a series it would have to be the Burnout one, it has just been so awesome from the beginning, how much time I put into this series..wow who knows as it's probably close to 1,000+ hours.

What about NASCAR?
I'm not much of a racing game fan, but I agree with Buffalo on the burnout series. I like it because it is much more aggressive, and it's more than just racing!

I enjoy the racing Games and it really comes to what you enjoy as far as a Sim or arcade Racer.. Forza 2, DiRT, GRID, the Burnout Series as mentioned or the NFS Series as I personally like the ProStreet the best in that lineup.

For me, DiRT just hit that magickal sweetspot between arcade and sim, realistic and fun.
The weird thing is that, next to DiRT, my other favourite is NFSUnderground, which is about the polar opposite. But what can I say, it played smooth as butter.

I probably enjoy the racing games more than FPS or RPGS. I think I've played most of them. I still have a soft spot for PGR and it's bothersome that it didn't make your list. Omitting NASCAR is also a pretty big oversight. It's the Madden of the online racing world. Grid's younger brother started out on the OG Xbox as Pro Race Driver and it too was a solid racing game.

I like Burnout because it's kind of not realistic, it's more of a sandbox game than a racer I think.
