Quick Rant

Ugh, I just needed to vent. You guys heard about the Windows 7 Pre-order at reduced prices, right? Well, if you didn't, what pertained to me was the fact that an upgrade to Windows 7 Premium was only $50 (is now $199) per computer.

I think they put on the pre-order around two weeks ago, and since that day, I have been telling my parents (because they want to upgrade their computers, so 2 + 1(mine)=3) that we need to go ahead and preorder and save some money.

Finally after telling them every day, I get the go from my mom to go do it. I log on. THE PRE-ORDER IS OVER! It is now $199 per computer, and I want to kick them in their heads, because I've been trying to get them to do this for so long.

Oh that sucks. I saw it the other day and was going to pre-order it once I got my paycheck....I guess that won't be happening now...might as well wait and buy a whole 'nother computer. I need a new desktop anyway. *rolls eyes & sighs*

easy solution.....buy a mac. the os is waaaaaay better than windows and when a new version comes out it is only 80 bucks and u have unlimited uses for it. so u can buy one and use it on all ur friends coms as well. thats what me and my bro do every time.

I don't need a new $1000 laptop until I have enough money to buy a toy with. I prefer Windows.

Detroit SniperX, yeah, I realized later that my mom just got a new computer, so I think she made the cutoff for a free upgrade, and she said she'll get it for me as well when it comes out. Maybe if I'm lucky, they'll have another one day sale or something (not likely

I used the RC a bit on one of my older computers, and liked it a lot. It ran a lot smoother and more nicely than Vista, and I don't have too much headache with Vista like everyone else and their mother. There are some things that grind my gears, but a lot of them seem to be fixed in 7.

I agree with this 1000 percent! Macs and their operating systems are just far superior to microsoft garbage. VIVA LA APPLE!! :nerd:

$200 for an upgraded OS seems cheaper than a $1000 Laptop to me... though my math is a little rusty lately. :rolleyes:

i would rather pay 1000 now and have a fast reliable comp in a mac that 200 now and another 1000 in 3 months when shitty windows stops blocking viruses and crashes

Well, I'll have you know my shitty vista has been running smoothly for over a year now, and my computer is on from the time I wake up til the time I go to sleep.

hey i never said that it was stupid. i just kno in the past 5 years ive had 2 macs mainly bc i wanted to get a laptop and get rid of my desktop. and in the same 5 years my mom who refuses to listen to me has had 6 diff pc's

Well, like I said. When I have the money, I will a MacBook as a secondary laptop, because I have nothing against Apple. I love the MacBook, it's sweet, but I prefer PCs. Just my personal preference, and I guess I am one of those lucky people whose computer doesn't break every 3 months.
