Just when people were giving up hope, an alternative to the Hori Dead or Alive arcade stick is about to become available to Xbox 360 owners. Mad Catz is set to debut the Xbox 360 ARCADE GameSTICK just in time for the holidays.

The controller is an officially licensed Xbox 360 product and will come packaged with a three Xbox Live Arcade titles (Frogger, Timepilot and Astropop) and a free trial membership to Xbox Live Gold.

The controller itself appears to be wired (although not confirmed) and has all the familiar Xbox 360 buttons, including the d-pad. The one unusual addition is a 360 degree spinner that is promised to provide a unique experience. It also is PC compatible if the need arises.

The Mad Catz Arcade GameStick will be available to retailers nationwide on 12/19/06 at a MSRP of $49.99.
