I enjoyed all of them. I'm not sure if it's just me or if they changed directors but the last two had more of a story of connection rather than gore and murder. I liked jigsaw but then after the Amanda girl took over it kinda went a little rough but I still think they're entertaining.

a victim in the first saw film only as you learn at the end of the second film that amanda was taking over for John a.k.a. jigsaw after he died by locking det. matthews in the bathroom for framing her and giving her a criminal record. In the thid film she is proven to be too weak willed to let people choose their own fates by choosing that they should die without a chance. Not til the fourth and fifth films do you learn who jigsaws real apprentice is, but if you pay good enough attention in three you had a good idea who it was.
and by the way the first film was directed by James Wan, the second through fourth films were directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, Saw V saw a new director David Hackl, and the newest film releasing this October will have yet another new director Kevin Greutert.
