Major Nelson announced today that the beta of Phantasy Star Universe is now available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace after being delayed a couple of days. The beta is available everywhere except Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.

You must have a Xbox Live Gold account to download and participate in the Beta. See the details HERE.

Hmmm.. I've steered clear of almost all MMORPGs since I've got totally sucked up into a few a couple years ago. I think I'll try this out though. If you never see me again, you know where I am.

This game makes me want to quit gaming forever. I didn't play the demo for 5 minutes. The loading screen flashes bugged the hell of me, and you were forced to stare at them forever because of the outrageous load times. I made the mistake of saying yes I wanted to do the tutorial. It didn't teach me anything, atleast in the portion of it I saw. The whole thing is just a long-ass cut scene that makes you want to claw your eyeballs out because of the ugly cheesy appearance. The character creation was a joke, ecspecially compared to others like Saint's Row's. I never got into the game because the tutorial froze part way through. I turned my 360 off and gave up. Screw that.

Really? cause when i played it, even with the tutorial, it didnt freeze. I like the game, its kinda a throw back to the old school PSO that i loved to play on the dreamcast. Yet its new, i like it, idk if its a buy yet but at least the demo was pretty sweet.
